Scott Matthews didn’t walk into the bathroom remodeling business from the outside. He grew up in it. His father Wayne founded Landmark Homes Inc. in 1987, starting with renovation work in Richmond’s Historic District — restoring older homes alongside some of the most skilled tradespeople in the region. Scott spent years on those job sites, learning the trades from craftsmen who had spent decades perfecting their work.
As Landmark Homes grew, so did the scope of work — from historic renovation into new construction and custom home building across the Richmond area. Every phase of that growth gave Scott a deeper understanding of how quality projects are built: how to manage specialty trades, how to set realistic timelines, and how to deliver results that hold up long after the crew leaves.
