Unlike tile or fiberglass bases, Onyx will not crack, discolor, or harbor mold. It is custom made-to-order in your exact size and color.
What sizes do Onyx shower bases come in?+
The Onyx Collection offers more than 51 standard shower base sizes. If your bathroom has a non-standard footprint, Onyx can also build a fully custom base to your exact dimensions. Scott measures your space at the in-home estimate and orders accordingly — no guessing.
Is the Onyx shower base slippery?+
No. Every Onyx shower base includes a non-slip textured surface as standard. You do not need a bath mat or non-slip strips. The texture provides secure footing in wet conditions — particularly important for older homeowners or anyone with balance concerns.
What heights do Onyx shower bases come in?+
Onyx shower bases are available in Low Profile at 1⅜ inches, Mid Height at 2¾ inches, and Full Height at 4⅛ inches. The low profile option is ideal for tub-to-shower conversions and aging-in-place applications. Integrated ramp bases are also available for zero-threshold entry.
Can I buy just a shower base without a full system?+
You can order an Onyx shower base individually or as part of a kit with wall panels.
